ASCAP Presents:
QUIET ON THE SET
Quiet On The Set, established in 1991, has become one of ASCAP's most successful songwriter showcase series. Designed to focus attention on the cornerstone of our business, the song itself, these showcases feature promising new and emerging talent in addition to established artists and writers as special guests. The events are designed to present an intimate setting for the musical talent while also providing an opportunity for members and industry executives to network. Over the years, this show has increasingly become an important platform for songwriter/artists. In 2001, Quiet On The Set introduced its "Cover Me Series" which celebrates writers whose works have been covered by prominent artists. Past Quiet On The Set participants have included Vonda Shepard, Jill Sobule, Willie Nile, Joseph Arthur, Sixpence None The Richer, Jonatha Brooke, Ben Harper, Catie Curtis, Allen Shamblin, Deana Carter, Rufus Wainwright, Phil Roy and John Mayer.
Dates: Held several times a year at various clubs around Los Angeles and New York.
How to apply: Submit a CD with no more than four original songs, bio information and upcoming performance schedule to the New York or Los Angeles ASCAP office, Attention: Quiet On The Set. CDs will not be returned.
